Ease of Use:  

We did not run into any problems installing the program however it does take a few minutes to install sense it has to install 3 different programs. Transparent Language and byki are the two main programs used and take a little getting used to before you can navigate both without a little confusion. However, after a few minutes you should have no problem finding your way around. For the most part the buttons are clear and easy to follow; if there is an issue on anything most tools have helpful prompts for a quick fix.

Features:  

Portuguese Complete Edition allows you to track what you have learned and how well you did on tests with an easy to read pie graph. Sections that you have recently learned will be shown in green, while those that have not be reviewed in a while will turn yellow and you will be able to look over them again to refresh your memory.

The Portuguese Complete Edition’s home page consists of multiple interactive books that keep track of your progress and let you select the lesson you want to work on. There is no set order in the learning process which can be a good thing if you want to know something right at that moment but this can also cause problems trying to keep things on track.

One feature that is missing from almost every Portuguese learning software package that we have reviewed is a feature that aids in the process of actual sentence structure. The basics for grammar, vocabulary and even pronunciation are covered but without the basic knowledge of forming sentences there is a gap in the learning process.
