Ease of Use:  

The installation is easy and once installed, the program is just as simple. It does not come with a user’s manual, but you don–t need one; the user interface is self–explanatory and easy to navigate.

Features:  

MLS Easy Immersion is specifically designed for beginners, it–s easy, simple and to the point.

The Auto Learn feature tracks your progress and you will advance to the next level by the number of correct responses. In addition, this will track your immediate and long-term progress. You can see a graph of your performance at any time by clicking on the Monitor Progress button located on the main menu.

The program also has a Browse, AutoWord and a Normal mode. If you just want a quick review, you can select Browse and scan through the lessons or AutoWord lets you enter in the first letter of fill–in responses for quick review.

Fundamentals:  

With MLS Easy Immersion, you can work on speech recognition, learning comprehension, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar skills.

The program includes voice recognition technology, but does not include conversation practice. With the speech recognition feature, simply repeat a word and the software will compare the wavelength representation of your pronunciation with the wavelength of a native speaker's pronunciation and rate your accent as bad, acceptable or good.

Teaching Tools:  

The program comes with an audio CD and a storybook that go along with some of the exercises. The book is designed as a reference, but you can also use it to help with pronunciation.

Word Tools:  

One great feature of MLS Easy Immersion is the Talking Dictionary. This tool lets you look up the meaning of a word or phrase to find the written translation. You can also hear the word or phrase by simply clicking on it. The definition can also be exported to a text document if you want to save or print it.

Learning Games:  

Most other programs have games such as crosswords and unscramble games. However, they are not included with MLS Easy Immersion.

Technical Help/Support:  

MLS Easy Immersion responded to our email with a form letter that said they would reply soon, but we never heard from them.

We tried calling their customer support phone number three times and only reached their voice mail. In the voice mail, it stated that they value their customers, yet their voice mailbox was full, so we were unable to leave a message.

MLS Easy Immersion is easy to use and provides helpful tools to learn Portuguese. However, when it comes to better support and fun learning we would recommend one of our higher ranked products.
