Ease of Use:  

Though the Learning Suite includes five installation CDs, Transparent has printed Mac and PC instructions on the CDs themselves making it simple; however if you forget a step, you may have to take the CD out to proceed.

Once you are in the programs, there are hints and help within each CD.

Features:  

The Portuguese Learning Suite does have programs that will suit the beginner as well as someone in the intermediate level of their Portuguese learning program.

There is an alphabet feature designed for you to learn the pronunciation of each letter. Portuguese is a language where the words are easy to sound out as long as you know how to pronounce the letters.

With this software, there is not a particular order; you can pretty much choose your own learning path. If you are planning a trip to a Portuguese speaking country, then you can work on the conversation words and phrases.

Fundamentals:  

The Suite is full of speech recognition, learning comprehension, reading, writing, vocabulary and grammar exercises.

Grammar Pro is in the bonus feature CD and gives grammar lessons on 16 topics ranging from parts of speech to word formations. Additionally, there is an appendix of irregular verbs and commonly confused words.

Teaching Tools:  

There are PDQ CDs that are great when you cannot be at a computer; you can listen in the car or while relaxing at home.

Word Tools:  

Complete Portuguese Learning Suite includes a dictionary, glossary, word and root search and word processing converter.

Learning Games:  

This software has seven learning games including crossword puzzles, unscramble games, and dictation games.
