101 Languages by Transparent can get you on the quick track to learning Portuguese. It is fun, full of fundamentals and has a great technical support team. Additionally, this software includes both the European and Brazilian versions.

This program is divided into five sections: Theatre, Reading, Activities, Pronunciation and Conversation. These sections test your vocabulary, help with pronunciation and check spelling.

There are seven entertaining games in the Activities section including Crosswords, Unscramble, Graffiti and more. These activities can keep kids or even adults engaged and teach them Portuguese at the same time.

However, this program is not easy to install or use; this software could definitely use some help in this aspect. Instructions for installation are included, but it is a long and confusing process when you have to change up to four CDs. In addition, the included Portuguese keypad did not include one of the needed accents, which caused us to have quite a few unnecessary errors.

Overall, 101 Languages can help you learn Portuguese, but it does not have as many teaching and word tools as the #1 product, Learn Portuguese Now!, which is also offered by Transparent.
